Browsers and devices compatible with MediSprout
MediSprout works on the most common browsers and devices used in healthcare practices today. This article lists the supported platforms, the recommended versions, internet requirements for video visits, and where to download the dedicated mobile apps.
Supported web browsers
On desktop and laptop computers, MediSprout works seamlessly with the following browsers. We recommend keeping your browser updated to the latest version for the best experience and security.
- Google Chrome
- Microsoft Edge
- Mozilla Firefox
- Apple Safari
Note · Internet Explorer is not supported. If you're still using Internet Explorer, install one of the browsers listed above before signing in to MediSprout.
Supported mobile operating systems
On smartphones and tablets, MediSprout supports:
- iOS — recent versions of iPhone and iPad operating systems.
- Android — recent versions of the Android operating system.
For the best mobile experience, use the dedicated MediSprout apps:
- Patients: MyMedi Health (Google Play / Apple App Store).
- Providers: MyPractice Assistant (Google Play / Apple App Store).
Internet connection recommendations
Video visits require a stable internet connection. A broadband connection is recommended for the best experience — slower connections may still work but may produce lower video quality or occasional drops.
- Wired or strong Wi-Fi connection preferred.
- If on mobile data, a 4G or 5G connection is recommended for video visits.
- If you experience video quality issues, close other applications using bandwidth (streaming, large downloads) and try again.
Device permissions
MediSprout needs access to certain device features to work properly. Grant the following permissions when prompted:
- Camera and microphone — required for video visits.
- Notifications — required to alert you about visits, messages, and other activity.
- Microphone (provider app) — required to record audio for AI Notes (only when the feature is in use).
Before your first video visit
To make sure everything is set up correctly:
- Sign in to MediSprout on the device you'll use for the visit.
- Grant camera and microphone permissions when asked.
- Use the audio and video test tool to confirm everything works. See the article How to test device audio and video ahead of video visits.
