Insurance claims — bulk export
The bulk export feature lets you download multiple insurance claims at once, either as individual PDFs packaged in a ZIP file, or as a single consolidated CSV file. This article explains how to use both export formats.
Export formats
ZIP of PDFs
Exports each selected claim as a separate PDF in CMS 1500 format, packaged together in a single ZIP file. Use this format when you need printable paper claim forms or when uploading to a clearinghouse that accepts individual CMS 1500 PDFs.
CSV export
Exports all selected claims as a single CSV file, built specifically to be compatible with Claim MD, with all claim data in structured columns. Use this format when uploading to Claim MD or another clearinghouse that accepts batch CSV files, or when you need to review claim data in a spreadsheet.
How to bulk export claims
- From the claims list, select the claims you want to export. You can select individual claims or use the select-all option.
- Click the Export button.
- Choose your export format: ZIP of PDFs or CSV.
- The export will be generated asynchronously. A persistent notification will appear at the top of the screen while the export is processing.
- When the export is ready, the notification will update with a download link. Click it to download the file.
Persistent download notification
The download notification stays visible until you dismiss it or the download completes. If you navigate away from the claims page while an export is processing, the notification will remain visible so you can return to download the file when it is ready.
Notes
- Exports include only the claims you selected. There is no limit on the number of claims you can export at once, but very large exports may take longer to process.
- Exported PDFs match the same CMS 1500 format used for single-claim PDF exports.
- CSV column headers and formatting follow the same Claim MD-compatible layout used for single-claim CSV exports.
