How pricing and subscriptions work with MediSprout

MediSprout subscription plans

The core MediSprout subscription covers access to the platform — scheduling, telehealth video visits, patient management, billing tools, and more. It operates on a free-then-unlimited model per provider.

Free tier — $0/month

Includes: up to 4 free video visits per month, per provider.
No charge for the first 4 visits each month — no credit card required for free visits.
Resets monthly: unused free visits do not carry over to the following month.
All other platform tools (scheduling, patient records, etc.) remain available regardless of visit count.

Unlimited plan — $49/month per provider

Covers: unlimited video visits after the free-tier threshold is reached.
How it works: the first 4 visits each month are always free. Billing only begins from the 5th visit onward.
Per-provider pricing: each provider in the organization who needs unlimited visits requires their own subscription.
Subscription is set up once and renews automatically each month.
To cancel, go to Subscriptions → MediSprout Plan and select Cancel subscription.

Note: The $49/month charge applies starting from the 5th video visit in a given month. If a provider sees 4 or fewer patients that month, there is no charge.

How to subscribe to the MediSprout Unlimited plan

From the main MediSprout menu, select Subscriptions.
From the Subscriptions dropdown, select MediSprout Plan.
Review the subscription details and the Customer Service Agreement and General Terms and Conditions.
Select Subscribe.
In the pop-up window, enter your payment information and select Save and continue.
Your MediSprout subscription is now active.

AI Notes subscription (add-on)

AI Notes is a provider-facing feature that automatically generates structured clinical notes from visit audio, using the MyPractice Assistant app. It is billed separately from the core MediSprout subscription and is not included in the Free or Unlimited plans.

How billing works

Usage-based: you are charged based on the total duration of audio processed during the billing period — not a flat monthly fee.
No fixed monthly cost: if you don't use AI Notes in a given month, there is no charge.
Processed securely through Stripe.
View charges: go to Subscriptions → Transactions to see AI Notes charges alongside MediSprout and AMA CPT charges.

Requirements before using AI Notes

Active AI Notes subscription for the provider.
MyPractice Assistant installed on the device used during or after the visit.
Patient consent for AI use. AI Notes will not run on a visit until the patient has granted consent. Patients can grant or revoke consent at any time from My Information → Privacy.

How to enable AI Notes

From the main MediSprout menu, select Subscriptions.
Select AI Notes from the Subscriptions menu.
On the introductory screen "Using My Assistant's AI Notes", click Enable.
If no payment method is on file, enter your card details in the Add Payment Method modal and click Save and Continue. If a payment method is already saved, the subscription activates immediately.
After activation, the usage card shows the amount of audio processed in the current period.

Note: You can deactivate the AI Notes subscription at any time and re-enable it later. Deactivating does not delete previously generated notes.

AMA CPT Codes subscription (add-on)

The AMA CPT Codes subscription is optional and independent from both the MediSprout plan and AI Notes. It is required by the American Medical Association (AMA) for any provider who uses CPT codes in visits, superbills, or invoices.

Pricing and terms

$18.50/year AMA license fee + $2.00 administrative fee = $20.50 per year, per provider.
Auto-renews annually unless cancelled.
AMA membership not required — any provider can subscribe regardless of AMA membership status.
Per-provider: each provider who uses CPT codes needs their own active subscription.
Optional: providers who do not use CPT codes do not need this subscription.

Important: CPT codes are only available in visits, superbills, and invoices when the visit's provider has an active AMA CPT Codes subscription. Adding CPT codes to services does not enable them — the provider subscription must be active.

How to subscribe to AMA CPT Codes

From the main MediSprout menu, select Subscriptions.
From the Subscriptions dropdown, select AMA CPT Codes.
In the search field, type the name of the provider for whom you want to purchase the subscription.
When the correct provider name appears, select Subscribe.

Viewing and managing transactions

All subscription charges — MediSprout Unlimited, AI Notes, and AMA CPT Codes — appear in one consolidated view.

From the main MediSprout menu, select Subscriptions.
Select Transactions.

Administrators can review all payments here. Providers with AI Notes can also monitor their own usage from within a visit that used AI Notes: open the visit, go to the AI Notes Usage card, and select View details.

Subscription independence

Each subscription operates independently. You can have any combination active at the same time:

A provider can be on the Free tier with no add-ons.
A provider can have an Unlimited plan, AI Notes, and AMA CPT Codes — all three active simultaneously.
A provider can have only the AMA CPT Codes add-on without upgrading to Unlimited.
Different providers in the same organization can have different subscription combinations.
