How pricing and subscriptions work with MediSprout

Free Tier

The EHR and practice management functions within the MediSprout app are always free. Plus, every provider using the MediSprout app gets four free visits per month, the Free Tier.

Unlimited Visits

When a provider has completed the four Free Tier visits each month, subscriptions for Unlimited Visits can be purchased for $50, per month, per provider. Again, the EHR and practice management functions remain free.

Within the MediSprout app, administrators can track the usage of each provider’s visit count.

A provider who has completed the four Free Tier visits can schedule visits but will not be able to carry out a visit until the administrator purchases a subscription to the Unlimited Tier for the practice.

If there is no subscription in place, administrators will receive an alert message that a provider has completed the four Free Tier visits and that a subscription for Unlimited Visits must be purchased before additional visits can be carried out.

At the end of each month, you will be billed for the number of providers who have exceeded their four Free Tier visits. At the beginning of each month, the four Free Tier visits will reset. Scheduled visits that have not been completed do not count toward the four Free Tier visits limit.

You will always receive four Free Tier visits per month, but you do not need to resubscribe every month to Unlimited Visits. Your subscription for Unlimited Visits will renew each month unless you cancel it. Each provider will only be billed the $50 per month if they exceed the Free Tier visit limit of four.

AI Notes subscription

AI Notes is a provider feature that automatically generates clinical notes from visit audio through the MyPractice Assistant app. To use AI Notes on a visit, the provider must have an active AI Notes subscription and the patient must have granted AI consent. The MediSprout Free Tier and Unlimited Visits subscriptions do not include AI Notes — it is billed separately.

AI Notes is usage-based: the amount billed depends on the length of audio processed during the period. There is no fixed monthly fee. Charges are processed securely through Stripe and appear in Subscriptions → Transactions, alongside MediSprout and AMA CPT charges (where applicable).

How to enable AI Notes:

From the MediSprout main menu, select Subscriptions.
Select AI Notes from the Subscriptions menu.
On the introductory screen "Using My Assistant's AI Notes", click Enable.
If no payment method is on file, enter your credit card details in the Add Payment Method modal and click Save and Continue. If a payment method is already saved, the subscription will be enabled immediately.
After activation, the usage card displays the amount of audio processed for the current period. You can disable the subscription at any time and re-enable it later if needed.

AI functionality is only used on visits where the patient has granted consent. Patients can grant or withdraw consent at any time from My Information → Privacy.

AMA CPT codes subscription

An AMA CPT code subscription is optional and separate from your MediSprout subscription. It is required by the American Medical Association (AMA) for each member of an organization who uses CPT codes. You can add as many services that use CPT codes as you need, but the CPT codes will only be available on visits, superbills, and invoices when the visit provider holds an active CPT code subscription.

The annual subscription fee is $18.50 plus a $2 administrative fee, for a total of $20.50 per year per provider. You do not need to be an AMA member to hold an AMA CPT code subscription. Subscriptions auto-renew annually unless cancelled. CPT code subscriptions are optional for providers who do not use CPT codes.

How to subscribe to AMA CPT codes:

From the MediSprout main menu, select Subscriptions.
From the Subscriptions drop-down menu, select AMA CPT codes.
In the search field, enter the name of the provider for whom you want to purchase the subscription.
When the correct provider's name appears, select the Subscribe button.

Both subscriptions — AI Notes and AMA CPT codes — are independent of the MediSprout Unlimited Visits subscription. You can have any combination of them enabled depending on the needs of each provider in your organization.
