Understanding AMA CPT codes and how to subscribe.

While an American Medical Association (AMA) CPT code subscription is not mandatory to use MediSprout, the AMA does require an AMA CPT code subscription for each member of an organization who uses CPT codes. You can add as many services that use CPT codes you need, but the CPT codes will only be available for use on visits, superbills, and invoices in which the visit provider owner holds a CPT code subscription.  

Subscription fees are paid annually and will auto renew unless cancelled. The annual subscription fee is $18.50 + a $2 administrative fee (total: $20.50/year per provider). You do not need to be an AMA member to hold an AMA CPT code subscription. CPT code subscriptions are optional for non-CPT users.

How to subscribe to AMA CPT Codes:

• From the MediSprout main menu, select Subscriptions.

1. From the Subscriptions drop-down menu, select AMA CPT codes.
2. In the search field, enter the name of the provider for whom you want to purchase an AMA CPT code subscription.
3. When the correct provider’s name appears, select the Subscribe button.

AMA CPT codes and a MediSprout subscription are separate functions. 

A MediSprout subscription operates independently from an AMA CPT code subscription. With a MediSprout subscription, you can book video visits and access hundreds of tools to run your practice and provide care. However, the prices of a MediSprout subscription can run from free to a monthly fee of only $50 depending on the tier you operate in. 

Free tier: Get up to four free video visits a month per provider with no fee. Free Tier video visits reset every month. Unused Free Tier visits do not roll over into the next month.

Paid tier: After four free video visits per month, you may subscribe to Unlimited Video visits each month for only $50 a month per provider. The first four video visits each month are always free. If you subscribe to Unlimited Video Visits, your fee will only be charged after your fourth visit every month. You will only need to set up  your subscription once. 

How to subscribe to MediSprout

• From the MediSprout main menu, select Subscriptions.

• From the Subscriptions drop-down menu, select MediSprout Plan.

1. Review the subscription details and Client Service Agreement and Master Terms and Conditions. Select Subscribe.

In the popup module, enter the requested payment information and select Save & continue. 

Your MediSprout subscription will now be active.
