What the Owner role is:
- It's automatically assigned to whoever created the organization
- The Owner is also an Admin — meaning they have every capability an Admin has — PLUS some capabilities that no other admin has, even if they have the Admin role.
- It exists specifically to restrict certain sensitive actions to a single person. "the owner role [was implemented] to restrict administrative capabilities, such as information export, to only the organization owner."
Exclusive Owner capabilities I can identify with confidence from the materials you've shared:
- Information export — only the Owner can do this (confirmed in Gemini).
- Stripe dashboard ownership — the existing Roles & Capabilities article already says about Admins: "Full access as owner. Does not get access to other admins' dashboards." — this matches; only the Owner gets the full Stripe dashboard.
- Subscription management — the existing Provider Capabilities article says "the administrator of the account is the only person in the organization who can access and edit subscription information." That singular admin is, going forward, the Owner.
