What's new in MyPractice Assistant

MyPractice Assistant 1.3.0 introduces a new Calendar section, a redesigned bottom navigation bar, improvements to the assisted scheduling flow, and a new My Information section for providers to manage their profile details. This article covers what changed and how to use each new feature.

New bottom navigation bar

The app now has a persistent bottom navigation bar that appears on every screen. This replaces the previous navigation pattern and gives you consistent access to the main sections of the app from anywhere:

  • Calendar — view and manage your visits.
  • Patients — access your patient list and records.
  • New Visit — shortcut to schedule a new visit from any screen.
  • My Information — manage your provider profile details.

New Calendar section

The Calendar section is a dedicated area in the app for viewing and managing your schedule. It includes all of the following:

Highlight filters for pending items

Color-code visits that need follow-up without filtering them out. Enable any combination:

  • Pending Notes — visits where the clinical note has not been completed.
  • Pending Invoices — visits where an invoice has not been generated.
  • Pending Super Bills — visits where a super bill is still outstanding.

Colors are consistent with the web calendar. Multiple filters can be active at the same time.

Improved assisted scheduling flow

The scheduling flow within the Calendar section has been improved for clarity and speed. If you navigate away from a scheduling session before finishing, the app will prompt you to confirm before discarding your progress.

My Information section

A new My Information section is available from the bottom navigation bar. Providers can use it to review and update their profile details:

  • Specialty — your medical specialty. Validated in real time to match accepted values.
  • Post-nominal title — your professional credential suffix (e.g., MD, DO, NP). Validated in real time.
  • History list — a running list of recent activity entries, now capped at a defined limit for readability.

Changes made in My Information are reflected across the platform wherever your provider profile is displayed.
