What to do if you logged into the wrong MediSprout app

MediSprout has two separate mobile apps — one for providers and one for patients. If you try to sign into the wrong app, MediSprout will now show you a clear message and guide you to the right one.

The two MediSprout apps

  • MyPractice Assistant — for providers (doctors, therapists, coordinators, and billing staff). Download from the App Store or Google Play.
  • MyMedi Health — for patients. Download from the App Store or Google Play.

What happens when you log in to the wrong app

Starting with Release #39, if MediSprout detects that you are trying to sign into the app that does not match your account type, an interstitial screen appears. The screen will:

  • Explain that this app is not for your type of account.
  • Identify the correct app for you.
  • Provide a button or link to download or open the correct app.

You will not be able to proceed with logging into the wrong app. This prevents access errors and confusion.

What to do

  1. Read the message on the interstitial screen. It will tell you which app you need.
  2. Tap the button or link to go to the correct app. If the correct app is already installed on your device, it will open directly.
  3. If the app is not installed, you will be directed to the App Store or Google Play to download it.
  4. Sign in from the correct app using your usual credentials.

Common scenarios

Provider trying to log into MyMedi Health: You will be shown the interstitial and directed to download or open MyPractice Assistant.

Patient trying to log into MyPractice Assistant: You will be shown the interstitial and directed to download or open MyMedi Health.

Still having trouble?

If you are unsure which app you should use, or if the interstitial message is unexpected, contact MediSprout support using the chat function in the app, or call +1 866-896-1431.
