How to view picture in picture

The Picture-in-Picture (PiP) feature helps you stay connected to your visit while accessing other apps or functions on your smartphone or tablet.

To minimize the visit screen and activate PiP mode, tap the blue PiP icon in the top left corner of the screen or simply pinch the screen using your index finger and thumb. The visit screen will shrink into a small view in the top right corner of your device’s screen. To move the PiP to another part of the screen, tap and drag the PiP window to your preferred location.

From there, you can access your account information or swipe/tap into another app.

To return to full screen view of your visit, tap the blue PiP icon again or expand the screen using your fingers (spread your thumb and index finger apart).

Precautions to Keep in Mind:

To avoid interruptions during your visit, some functions will be disabled in the MediSprout app when in PiP mode. For example, the “Join another visit” button will be disabled. You will not be able to join another visit while already in one.

When you are in PiP mode, your provider will not be able to see you. However, your provider will still be able to hear you without interruption.

On iOS devices, if you exit the MediSprout app while in PiP mode, the video will stop completely and none of the participants will be visible, although audio will continue without interruption. There are no such video interruptions on Android devices.
