Picture-in-picture (PiP) capability helps you stay connected to your visit while accessing other apps or functions on your smartphone or tablet.
To minimize your visit screen and engage PiP mode, tap the blue PiP icon at the top left of your screen, or simply pinch your screen with your finger and thumb. The visit screen will reduce to a small view on the top right of your device’s display. To move the PiP to another part of your display, touch and drag the PiP to a preferred location on your display.
From here, you can access your account information, or swipe or tap to another application.
To return to a full screen picture of your visit, tap the blue PiP icon again, or expand your screen with finger and thumb (unpinch).
Things to be aware of:
To prevent disruption to your visit, some functions will be disabled on your MediSprout app when you are in PiP mode. For example, your Join Another Visit buttons will be disabled. You will not be able to join another visit while you are already in one.
When you are in PiP mode, your provider will not be able to see you. Your provider will, however, still be able to hear you without interruption.
On iOS devices, if you leave the MediSprout app while in PiP mode, all video stops and neither participant will be able to see each other, but the audio will continue uninterrupted. There are no such video interruptions on Android devices.
